Hi I'm Jake Smith

I'm a Mormon, am married to my beautiful wife, Sami; and have a beautiful little boy, Maverick.

About Me

I am married, and have one little boy at this point. My wife is a great blessing in my life and our little man has brought us more joy than we could ever have imagined! I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Professional Sales and a minor in Commercial Spanish. I currently work for Spillman Technologies and coach football at a local High School.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied, prayed to know for myself and have received confirmation that it's the path that will help me most in striving to be like Christ and obtaining perfection one day. I know that Christ is the true perfect example, that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel through His power & authority, and that Thomas S. Monson truly was called by God to stand as our Prophet and leader today. He and the other Apostles truly are the link that allows us to be connected to our Heavenly Father's council and guidance. The Book of Mormon and Bible do contain the word of God and have blessed my life greatly. Families are eternal, and I know we can one day return to be as one and reside in the presence of our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a good person, truly trying to see the good in everyone and treating them as Christ would. (Always room for improvement in this regard, but it is something I continually strive to do) I look for opportunities I can to serve others, I've learned that this is the most rewarding way I can help make a difference in other people's lives. I have spent a lot of time working with the youth through church callings, coaching, and other opportunities. My wife and I are just starting a new calling, and will be working with 7-8 year old's in the primary, teaching them the Gospel and helping them to enjoy learning.
