Hi I'm Megan

I was born and raised in Utah and have dreams of being an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a college student and am earning a degree in art. I mostly work with pencil and charcoal and enjoy sketching portraits and figure drawing. In the past I've dipped my toe in different pools of the arts including choir, band, dance, and theatre. However, studio art seems to be the one I'd like to completely submerge in. I've also gained an interest in literature and creative writing and hope that there may be opportunities to learn valuable things in that field.

Why I am a Mormon

It's difficult for me to express my feelings about this church and why I am a follower of it simply because they're overwhelming. I have been a member my whole life in presence but not always at heart, and when I think about those times my heart resented the church in comparison to when I allowed it to bless my life, the difference is beyond distinct. This Gospel gives us hope that there is more to this life than the world wants us all to believe; it promises that families will be together forever; it assures that there is a God who loves us all and will forgive us again and again when mistakes are made; and while it cannot prevent hardships, it offers remedies to the pain. And the thing about these promises is that they are sincere. I have and am continuously finding out for myself that this Gospel and its teachings are genuine and true and that Heavenly Father lives and loves us.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach the youth in my church (ages 5-6).
