Hi I'm Andra Twitchell

I grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico. I'm preparing to give 18 months to the Lord to serve a mission in Nicaragua. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college and am majoring in Nutrition and Dietetic Sciences. I'm planning on going into physical therapy. I enjoy playing tennis, singing, and drawing. I'm taking a break from school for the next year and a half to serve a mission in Nicaragua and I'm excited to see where life takes me and to have this opportunity to serve the Lord and the people.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the gospel and even though I started off not having a sure testimony when I was younger, as I grew older I started recognizing all the blessings and tender mercies that have come to me because of living the gospel. I look at my life and know that it wouldn't be the same without the gospel. There is just such a peace and comfort that comes from knowing the truths of the gospel. I know that I can be happy and that all things will work out for good, because I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me infinitely, a Savior who sacrificed himself and suffered so much just for me, and a family that is bound for time and all eternity. There is no greater or more joyful knowledge to have and I am looking forward to getting to share it with everyone around me.

How I live my faith

In my university ward I had the calling as visiting teacher coordinator, and it was such a great experience getting to know all the sisters and coming to love them all through service. Now I've been called to serve as a full time missionary in the Nicaragua Managua South Mission. I know that times are going to be rough sometimes but I'm looking forward to just getting to focus on serving the Lord and serving the people of Nicaragua.
