Hi I'm Eddie Saydee

Born in Liberia, Monrovia. Moved to United States in 2000. Currently a colligate soccer student-athlete at San Jose State Univ.

About Me

My name is Eddie Saydee. I'm a 19 year old recent convert of 2 and a half years. I currently play attend and play soccer at the Division 1 colligate level at San Jose State University. Upon joining the church and living the gospel, I followed my peers and went along with whatever was decided, good or bad. I feared being left out, and being alone. Contrast now, I do not fear being alone, because the Lord is always with me. When I think that the decisions that I make don't matter I am corrected because that is not true, and they indeed do matter. This gospel and the Lord's love is unfailing. He calls come follow me, he beckons now is the time. No one is unrepairable.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel is about love. When I was investigating the church I actually took the method of recruiting. The way I did this was I made a list in my head of what I wanted in life. A good life, I wanted a change and be nice to people, I wanted hope, I wanted to be happy. I took this and accepted the invitation to go to church. When I went there, the people and the gospel had everything I was looking for. I'm a Mormon because of Christ. Because he spoke to me. To follow him, to change, and to become new again. Because He died for me and was resurrected, I too can be resurrected and return to live with my Father in Heaven again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living. By waking up in the morning and giving thanks to the one who gave me life, and the one who helps me continue to live my life with the knowledge that I don't have to be perfect. I am currently a branch missionary and I'm in preparation to serve a mission this summer. I serve as an assistant Branch mission leader, which is to help out conduct meetings and to connect with the full-time missionaries that are currently serving. I love this work. I am amazed at how I am able to do the work that I do, but overtime I ask myself, I realize that God's hand is definitely playing a huge part.
