Hi I'm Rebecca

Born and raised in Utah. I am a storyteller and aspiring author. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student but I am still undecided as to what I want to major in. I enjoy doing a lot of very different things which makes it hard to choose one particular major of study. I love building rockets with my family as well as racing go-karts. I am an artist and a writer so a lot of my time is spent with a pencil in hand or on my laptop. I spent my grade-school years as a member of a marching band. I was a percussionist, and because I did not protect my ears I now have some hearing issues. I am also an avid storyteller and poet. I have performed in front of audiences since I was in the third grade. All of these different interests make it very difficult to choose what I want to do professionally, but I'll figure it out eventually.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family so at first it was just part of the family culture and I didn't think too much about it. As I grew older I began to search the scriptures for myself to decide if it was true. The good feelings I felt as I studied and prayed, as well as the support I received in the church community let me know that this is where I ought to be and where I should stay. I have been strengthened in my life through consistent prayer and scripture study. I rely on the Lord in all that I do and I find that I have the ability to see the good in every situation when I look to Him. I have had to keep studying and praying to continually build and keep up my testimony. It isn't easy to have a lot of faith through difficult times, but I have seen and felt that it is worth the hardship.

How I live my faith

I have always felt a need and desire to share my faith with others because of the joy it brings me and my family. As a teenager I spent hours discussing religion with my friends almost daily and shared my beliefs with them. I have tried to set an example to others who share my beliefs and tried my best to serve others by supporting them in their trials and listening to them when they needed a friend to talk to.
