Hi I'm Rachel Lau

I'm a horse-lover, musician, artist and a Mormon that has been called to serve in the Alpine German-Speaking mission.

About Me

I love the outdoors and have always had a love for animals. I am a horse and dog trainer mostly because of this. I have been riding horses since I was 7 years old and I have been training dogs since I was 11 years old. I have owned dogs, cats, horses, chickens, hamsters, parakeets, rabbits, fish and more. I loved and still love them all dearly. I also love and have a passion for music. Music has dominated my life since before I can remember. I am an avid singer and enjoy participating in competitions. I am an Art major in college, with an emphasis in Illustration. I enjoy creating thought-provoking pieces of artwork and presenting them in galleries.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny what I have felt when reading the Book of Mormon. I know it is true. Call it what you may, but it is fact for me, not just a belief. It teaches of things that I believe are righteous and true. If you want to learn what the Lord expects of you, who you are, what your purpose is, e.t.c, then read the Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because Christ does not care what you have done as long as you are trying and striving for repentance; to change for the better. Now, this does not mean you are to always rationalize by saying you are "trying". You need to truly give your all, for He is not an idle God. He is not an idea, He is reality. I challenge whoever is reading this to truly sit down and read the Book of Mormon. Don't just take my word for what I say to be true, find out for yourself! It is the truest and plainest book of earth. All it takes is just a willing and listening heart to know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I do as the Lord asks of me. I attend my church meetings, look for opportunities to serve and try my best to follow Him with no excuses. I follow the Ten Commandments, read my scriptures for strength and insight, pray morning and night for knowledge and comfort, love others as Christ did and more. I also try to share with others what makes me happy. I love to share this Gospel with everyone, hence one of the reasons I am preparing to serve a mission for the Lord. Who wouldn't want to share what makes you happy and gives you peace?
