Hi I'm April

I grew up in Utah, California, and Arizona. I was home schooled and now work as a caregiver for the elderly. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was home schooled with my six other sisters. That gave me the opportunity to become friends with them. I got a job in a care center and I ended up falling in love with the work. I am working towards getting a nursing degree. I love animals and have had the opportunity to raise chickens, rabbits, cats, dogs and cockatiels. I enjoy hunting with my dad who helped me shoot my first deer on my first hunt. I love food.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a family that belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Through the foundation that my parents built for me I began developing a testimony. I attended seminary, institute and continue to attend church, which has strengthened my testimony through the years. While my sister was on her mission, I prayed to see if that was the right thing for me. After frequent prayers, I received the confirmation that I should serve the Lord on a mission. I have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I know that Joseph Smith restored the true church to the earth in these latter days. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that he sent me here and that if I have faith I'll be able to make it through my trials and return back to Him. I know that Jesus Christ died for me and that through his atonement I can repent and be forgiven for my sins. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet on the earth today, he is God's mouthpiece, and that he leads and guides the church through the guidance of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I teach the four-year-old children in my ward. I love their sweet, innocent spirits and enjoy learning the basics of the gospel with them. I enjoy discussing and sharing the gospel with those I work with at the care center. I like to share prophetic quotes and my personal testimony on social media. I'm preparing to serve a mission and for those eighteen months I will serve and teach the people of Oregon.
