Hi I'm Gianna

I live in Las Vegas. I play cello and piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, reading, and writing. I just finished my first year of college majoring in Cello Performance and English Literary Analysis. Music enables me to express my emotions and ideas to those around me. I love analyzing books to find deeper meaning and sharing what I find with others. My favorite book is Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. One of the biggest joys in my life is my family. I have wonderful parents who have taught me well and five fun brothers and sisters. I love spending time with all of them by watching movies, going on walks, and playing music in our family band. We also love family vacations to Disneyland and spending time up in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church so much because it brings me a joy that cannot be found on this earth alone. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helps me understand my true worth as a daughter of our loving Heavenly Father and gives me direction in my life. The joy and peace that this gospel brings is truly amazing. I know that this church is true and that it was restored fully to this earth by the prophet Joseph Smith under the direction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth and suffered and died for our sins so we would not have to. I know he lives again and that he loves us and wants to help us return to our Heavenly Father. I love this gospel because it gives me an eternal perspective and shows me that there is more after death and that by following the commandments of God, I can return to His presence again. I am thankful for the covenants received in holy temples of the Lord that enable me to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity. I know that whenever I am facing hardships or trials, whenever I feel sad or discouraged or confused, I can turn to my Heavenly Father and receive guidance. I know that the Holy Ghost brings me peace and comfort and leads me to do good if I will listen to his still, small voice. I know that, no matter what sins I commit, no matter what mistakes I make, I can always repent and ask for forgiveness and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be washed clean. I know without a doubt that there is a God and that He loves us perfectly, unconditionally, and eternally. I love this gospel with all my heart and I say these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love going to church each Sunday and learning about the gospel. I often help with the music in order to invite the Spirit into our meetings. I have had the opportunity to pick the hymns we sings, organize and participate in musical numbers, and am currently called to play piano in the children's classes so they can sing. I have my mission call to Brazil Manaus and will be leaving later this summer to serve for 18 months. I am so excited for this opportunity to teach the gospel to the people in Brazil and share my testimony with them because I know that this gospel can bring them joy.
