Hi I'm Chris Rappleye

I am a native of San Diego, California. After living there I spent most of my life growing up in Ohio. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am looking to study biology and medicine in college. I enjoy distance running and soccer, and I love the guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that this is Christs church, and that He has called prophets in our modern time to provide us with counsel and direction through an ever changing world. I know that His plan for each of us is true, and will help us become better people and tools in His work. I am a Mormon because I know that the Lord has a need for me in His work here on earth.

How I live my faith

I am serving as a missionary in Milan, Italy where I couldn't be happier. Prior to my call, in my ward I am a home teacher and a facilities manager, who oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the building. I was also a youth leader and helped plan and execute many scouting, service, and religious activities.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Chris Rappleye
As a Mormon missionary, I dedicate two years of my life to serving and teaching the lord all day every day. A two year mission however is no cheap thing, and many people wonder how it is funded. The missions are funded are funded by the missionaries and their families. Prior to being a missionary I worked during high school in order to raise sufficient funds to go on a mission. Some people might think that this is a waste of money, or that the church in itself should pay for the missionaries. However from the service that I have the ability to do because of my own preparation, I have grown more, and received more blessings that any amount of money could have bought. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Chris Rappleye
The savior, when he was on the earth taught to Peter that if he truely loved Him, Peter would feed, or teach, His lambs, or all of us. Missionaries are trying to follow this lesson and actively seek out all people who are willing to listen to our message about Christ's restored gospel. Show more Show less
