Hi I'm Michelle Evans

I grew up in the U.S.A. I funded the building of a school in the Philippines. At the age of twenty, I became a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, clothing designer, singer, outdoor enthusiast, gardener of sorts, cook and shopper. I love spending time with my family and trying to convince my grandchildren of the merits of eating their vegetables. I enjoy yoga, reading good books, seeing an occasional movie, and attending the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the missionaries taught me about the plan of salvation, the fall of Adam and Heavenly Father's love for each of us as His children. Because of prayer and a confirmation to prayer, I know who I am and why I am here on this Earth. There was a time that I looked to find fault with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Now I realize that those who are in church with me are saints in progress, just like me.

How I live my faith

I love studying the scriptures. Because those scriptures describe character traits of people and what the Lord would have us do, the scriptures help me know how to live my life now. I have worked in my church as a leader of women, young women, as a teacher in many various capacities, song leader, choir member, missionary, genealogist, and an organizer for events. Because of my faith, I choose to avoid drugs, alcohol, and eat moderately. I created an annual event that raises thousands of dollars every year in order to help relieve suffering or address the needs of people locally, nationally and internationally.
