Hi I'm Lucina

I am an Island girl, born in the Caribbean and have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 17 years.

About Me

I have never been married and have no children; thus, I have lots of thinking time and allow my imagination to take me places I would love to be and doing things I want to do at some point of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Heavenly Father used television to introduce me to the Book of Mormon which I ordered through television advertisement and read in its entirety immediately after I read the Bible for the first time one summer. After completing the Book of Mormon, I had a feeling of expectancy and obeyed Heavenly Father's call to repent. I had no doubt that The Book of Mormon is God's truth and message to His children everywhere. Soon thereafter, missionaries knocked on my door and I welcomed them as a 'heavenly expectation'. About six weeks later, I was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints and have never regretted that decision. Heavenly Father amazes me with His concern and humor. What a mighty God we serve! I am constantly aware of His love through the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and the friendship and example of His precious son, Jesus Christ. He is with me when I fall into slumber and when I arise every morning. There is not a life better than this! I give praise to my God and King for His merciful and eternal love for all His children. I resoundingly say that I know my God lives and cares for each of us. His perfect son intercedes for us, and their utmost desire is that we return home to them; of this I testify in the name of my savior, king, and exemplar, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently, I teach four year old children who will be five years this year. Loving them like I do causes me to ponder on the depth and breadth of our Heavenly Father's love for us. Amazingly, our Eternal Father places us in each other's lives for purposes we do not always understand. But I know everything He gives us is for our good. He appoints us one another's keepers, reminding us that we are all His children belonging to the same family-His. Knowing that I am royalty, having a divine nature, created in my creator's likeness and image helps me to strive to become like Him and His son.
