Hi I'm Martha Yoshida

I was born in Mexico. My family just recently moved to the United States. I am studying to become a Pharmacist. I am a mormon.

About Me

My name is Martha. I am now preparing to serve in a mission. I know Spanish and English and I love both languages equally. I come from Mexico and I love my culture. I currently live in the United States and I love the opportunities that are present. I love this gospel and I love the scriptures because they bring us closer to Christ by teaching us about who he is, about our Heavenly Father, and about their plan for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me hope. I have always grown in the gospel. I have felt the spirit and I know that the scriptures say truth. In seminary my teacher once invited everyone to read at least one verse a day from The Book of Mormon, one night I opened my scriptures and they fell on Alma, chapter 7, verse 12. I had not understood who our Savior ws until I read that verse. After that I read the whole chapter. I know that the scriptures give testimony of our Savior and that we get to know him and his plan better by reading them. The church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints has the same structure as the church that Jesus Christ stablished in his mortal ministry. I know he is the head of this church and I know we have a living prophet this day. This prophet is Thomas S. Monson. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel. I am a mormon because the gospel is a gospel of everlasting joy. I am a mormon and I love my faith.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is quite extensive. We try to follow Jesus Christ's example at all time. That means that we diligently seek for him. We are far from being perfect but we know that through Christ we can be made perfect. My parents have always made us grow in the church. As a family we often read the scriptures together. I try my best to be in all the activities that members from the church hold. In our faith we have many things to do. We help our neighbors and we live as a family. We also help those around us and we hope to help others in order to be a light unto the World so that others may know that it is because we know that our Savior lives.
