Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Utah. I'm a musician. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the youngest of four girls, and an aunt of three. I love boating and paddle boarding. I am a college student studying music. I still have no idea what to do with my life, but right now I'm just going with what I'm good at: music. I play the oboe, flute, guitar, and piano. Oboe is what I would call my "work" instrument. I have had some great opportunities through music such as making amazing friends, travelling to Europe, and even having a couple paid gigs.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I was born into a Mormon family that goes generations back to when Mormon pioneers crossed the plains in the 1800's, and I was taught well by my parents and leaders. Why do I stay a Mormon? Because I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that prayer works. I know being in this church and living my faith has made me a better person, and through my hard times, it is wonderful to know that Heavenly Father is there. If you look hard enough, you can see his hand in your life through the people he sends your way and the opportunities that are put in front of you.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow God's commandments. I do the basic things like pray, read the scriptures and go to church, which makes me feel good and helps motivate me to do the right things and serve others.
