Hi I'm Matthew

I was born in Idaho and raised in Alabama. I love sports, music and engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just recently graduated high school, and I am preparing to serve a full-time mission. I love to be physically active by playing sports and enjoying the outdoors. I played on my high school's varsity basketball team and had a great senior year. I also enjoy engineering and robotics. I am a member of two engineering and robotics teams. One of these teams placed 2nd in the nation for designing an unmanned areal vehicle. I have played the piano for 10 years, and I have a great love for music. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Lord and His son, Jesus Christ. I was raised in the church, but have gained a personal testimony of the restoration of the gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and it can help anyone come closer to God as they read it. I know that the priesthood authority of God has been restored and that God speaks to His children through a prophet just as in times of old. These restored truths are evidence of God's love for me and for you. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can be made clean and worthy to enter in to the presence of a loving Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because these truths make my life happy, and they can make yours happy too.

How I live my faith

I try to live the way that my Heavenly Father would have me live. I do my best to pray often, read my scriptures, and attend church each week. One of my responsibilities in the church is to assist the full-time missionaries as the teach lessons about the Savior, Jesus Christ. I also help to visit other members and share an uplifting message about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
