Hi I'm Jason Peacock

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm going on a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year of college and I absolutely loved it! It was a really hard transition and took some time to adjust. I have decided that I will major in Finance. I really enjoy learning about investing and want to help others by aiding them in the investing process. I want to help others avoid the burden of debt and be able to live life without having to constantly be stressed about money. In high school I played soccer and really developed a love for the sport. I play it whenever the opportunity presents itself. I love summer. I love the excitement and the adventure that summer seems to bring. I love hiking, mountain biking and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have felt God's love for me more times than I can count. I am a Mormon because I have felt of Christ's reedming power. I am a Mormon because I have felt the blessing of keeping God's commandments. I am a Mormon because I have felt the strength of a priesthood blessing. I am a Mormon because I have felt the calming influence of the Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have read the pages of the Book of Mormon and they truly do testify of Jesus Christ. There was a period of time in my life when I doubted the Church more than I ever had before. I decided that before I left or gave up that I would put to test all the things I had been taught. I would read the Book of Mormon. I would say my daily prayers. I would keep the commandments. I would honor my covenants. As I did these small and simple things I began to realize and know that the Church was true and my happiness was full. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored. I know that Christ lives. I know that God loves us, His Children. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint is not easy, but I promise you it is worth it.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in my ward. I have been a peer group leader for various ages. In this capacity I am asked to serve the other young men in this group or quorum and also to be focused on their needs. I tried to love these individuals as Christ would and serve them as He would. I also had the opportunity to be an instructor. As an instructor I would be a discussion leader for various topics. Each of these topics came from a selected passage of scripture located in the Book of Mormon. As I would prepare these lessons I would focus on those in my class and ponder the scriptures to develop thought provoking questions that would help the students in my class. I live my faith by sharing my testimony through social media. Everyday I try to love as Christ loved and treat all those around me with respect.
