Hi I'm Kellan

I grew up in Utah my who life. I love my family and friends. I love playing golf and skiing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the older child in my family. I have 4 other siblings, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I have my mission call to Lima Peru, and will be graduating high school this year. I got my eagle scout when i was 16. I love to go skiing with friends and family, my favorite place to go is Whistler, Canada. I am on the high school golf team, we took 3rd in state this year. I have been an active member of the church my whole life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised into the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I have always grown up learning about what this gospel teaches. I have grown to learn that this doctrine is true, and that it should be shared with others. This is why i am going to serve a mission. I know that this gospel will bless peoples lives and they will be happier from the knowledge this gospel brings. I know that our heavenly father loves us, and he doesn't care if we are rich or poor, strong or weak. This is another reason i am going to serve a mission. everyone deserves the gospel no matter what. I know that through the atonement of Christ we can be saved and live with our father in heaven again. This is the most wonderful blessing we have and it should be cherished and used often.

How I live my faith

Right now I am the first assistant in the priest quorum in my ward. This calling helps me to live right and stay close with all the boys in my quorum. I was able to baptize my younger sister with the aaronic preisthood when i was 16. Right now I home teach two families in our ward. This helps me prepare for my mission, where i will be teaching people all the time. One of our families we teach is a little less active, so it is a good experience and we try to help them to learn about the gospel.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Kellan
We believe that this is the true church on earth, and that you need to be baptized into our church. You also need to be baptized by the correct authority of god, which is the priesthood. Worthy males in the church hold the priesthood and can baptize new members or children when they reach the appropriate age. Show more Show less
