Hi I'm Kelsey Bingham

I love all sports with a emphasis on softball. I coach high school softball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Nothing in life came easy to me especially not any kind of sport activity, but I could never stop loving the competitive and team oriented aspects of sports. I started out playing soccer as a goalie until my freshman year where I realized I could not compete with another girl my age who was a fantastic goalie. I was bummed out for awhile until my dad suggested that I should try and take up fast pitch softball. He told me that you don't have to be the strongest or tallest or most athletic girl to play softball. I instantly fell in love with the game and began my softball journey which consisted of many different mentors, successes and failures and lots of extra hours spent practicing to try and become the best that I could personally be. I experienced a lot of struggles throughout my softball career, but I would never want to have them all taken away because without those hard experiences I would not be the woman I am today. I am now starting my career as a assistant high school softball coach and I am also in my sophomore year of college and am loving every second.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt Heavenly Father's outstanding love for not just myself, but for every single living person on this earth and I know with all my heart that he just wants us to succeed and to be happy. He has given us a way to be eternally happy with him and our families and friends and I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life that the Book of Mormon is his true book for us, that this church is his true church on the earth and by being obedient to his teachings that every single person will be able to feel the love of our Heavenly Father for themselves. I am going to serve a mission not for myself, but because Heavenly Father has asked me to go and share this love and comfort and joy that his church and his gospel provides. I know this church is true without a single doubt.

How I live my faith

I tell my players every day that I believe in them even when things get tough because I want to be the helping hand that was given to me and helped keep me going even when there seemed to be no hope. Heavenly father was always there for me in my hardest of times, he always lent me his hand. He didn't swoop in to save me immediately when things got tough because he loves me and knows that challenges in my life are what make me stronger. Just like how I would love to jump on the field during a softball game and make the hard choices and difficult plays to win the game for my players I know that by encouraging them and giving them the tools to succeed they will become better players and better young women.
