Hi I'm Rachel Johnson

I grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of five. I grew up playing soccer, basketball, and running. I love the outdoors including hiking as well as cycling. I attended my first year of college and am now leaving to serve a full-time LDS mission, then will return to finish my education. I am pursuing a degree in elementary education.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel God’s love the most when I get outside of myself and am serving others. Because of my love for Jesus Christ I am so grateful to be a part of this church and for the opportunities I have to share the gospel with others. I love the name, the plan of happiness, because God’s plan truly brings each of us happiness when we are striving to follow it. I know that as we strive to stay on the straight and narrow path, that through Christ we can receive eternal life and return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that through Christ our weaknesses become strengths. This life is going to be hard but we will never be given a trial that we cannot handle. God loves us and that is why He sent His son to die for us and to show us the way. Jesus Christ is our brother, he loves us and he’s a beacon of light pointing us to safety, leading us home. I know that we are never alone and that we can make it through hard things by remembering that God has a plan for us. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Through His grace we are saved, given strength, and made perfect in Christ. I am so blessed to know the truth that families are forever. I know that we are all children of God. I am learning, practicing, and becoming like the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making my standards known. I strive to keep God's commandments. I know that by trying to see how God blesses our lives each day, we will come to develop a stronger relationship with Him. I try to follow the Savior's example by serving those around me.
