Hi I'm Mac

I was born in Utah, and I now live in West Virginia. My family is the most important thing in my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was in High School in Utah, the only reasons that I went were so that I could play Tuba in Band, and to go to Seminary. I was raised in a home where the the teaching of the gospel and the enjoyment and sharing of music was central. I still enjoy music, and have on occasion arranged music for a men's quartet that performs at church. I enjoy teaching my children about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and watching them grow. We have to do things quick sometimes because our children are 3 and 1, but it is never boring when we have family scripture study.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the church when she was 15, and my father joined the church when he was 21. I was raised in the Church, but I wasn't just "the thing" we did. I spent a lot of time personally studying the gospel, and going to church. When I was in my mid teens I lived in Utah and the chapel that I went to had 3 different units meeting in it, and I would attend all 3 Sacrament Meetings, our large group meeting, and then I would attend my other 2 hours of meetings for the unit that I belonged to. It made for a day full of church and I loved it. I have always enjoyed going to church, and I do still. I have a personal testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the restored church of my personal savior Jesus Christ, and that we have a prophet on the earth today, and the Lord cares about His people just as much today as He did in days past. And I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet that the Lord called to restore his church on the earth once again.

How I live my faith

I was able to serve a full time 2 year Mission for the Lord, and I was called to the Utah Salt Lake City Mission, and I have been home for 7 years; it was wonderful to get to teach the people in Utah and see the changes that take place when they fallow the path that the Lord has set. Now, I get to work with the leaders, and youth at church, and help them in their spiritual growth.
