Hi I'm McKay

I was born in Logan Utah. I spent my childhood in Logan and teenage years in Pocatello Idaho. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am originally from Logan Utah. My first year of high school I got into running and I have ran cross country and track ever since. I love spending quality time with friends and family. I am planning on serving a mission in Barcelona Spain I report later this year. I am planning on going to college and majoring in mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and at first I relied heavily on my parent's testimony. As I have gotten older though I have seen that knowing something to be true for yourself is important. Just like Joseph Smith did I realized that I needed to ask of God wether or not the church is true. I asked and the Holy Ghost gave me a feeling of peace. I can testify that I know this is the true restored church in the latter days. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who was led by God in translating the Book of Mormon. I have come know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as I have personally studied it and prayed about it. I know that if I am ever questioning all I have to do is pray. One of my favorite quotes from general conference is from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf and he states “Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith.” The definition of the word gospel means the good news of Christ! I am grateful to learn fully of God's commandments and strive continually to I keep them in my life. The teachings of the Church help me everyday to reach my full potential.

How I live my faith

I was once taught that life can be summed up in on word and that word is "Becoming"! I am not perfect but everyday I strive to keep the commandments and become more like my Savior Jesus Christ. I also know that by small and simple things, great things come to pass. I pray, read scriptures everyday, and find opportunities to serve. I also like to share what I know to be true!
