Hi I'm McKenna Anderson

I love music, running, and a good pun. I'm a college student, a bookworm, and a country girl, but most importantly, I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hello there ! I am a college sophomore working towards a degree in Communication Disorders. I hope to use this degree by helping young children as a speech therapist. I love music- whether it be playing the piano, singing in a choir, or jamming out to Frank Sinatra and Alan Menken while I drive to school. Throughout high school, I participated in track and field, drama, and choir. Reading has always been a big part of my life, and has given me a love of learning and a vivid imagination. I also love riding my horse around the mountains trails of my hometown in Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has changed my entire life for the better! Through this gospel I have learned that not only does God exist, but that He knows us individually and loves us unconditionally. When I read the Book of Mormon, I gain greater understanding as to how we can overcome our mistakes through Jesus Christ and His Atonement. This knowledge has given me confidence, direction and hope throughout my life. This gospel also helped me develop a better relationship with my family because I have been taught that families can still be together after death. As I have reflected on these past experiences, I realized that being a Mormon gives me a lot of joy and helps me stretch to become a better person. Thus, I continue to follow this gospel because I believe that it will continue to bring happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith means improving myself each day and encouraging others to do the same. This is why I love attending church services each week! It allows me to learn of Christ and reflect on ways I can align myself with His teachings. It also has given me the opportunity to become close to many of my neighbors and friends. By attending church activities throughout the week, I am able to serve my community, meet new people, and have some fun with family and friends. Praying daily and studying the scriptures each morning strengthens my knowledge of God and His plan for me here on earth. I am also preparing to serve a mission in Missouri where I can share my faith with others.
