Hi I'm Giovanni Nieto

I'm a light skin, Mexican, Mormon for life. I like poetry, I love soccer, and I'm obsessed with Disc Golf.

About Me

I play competitive soccer and aggressive disc golf when I have time. I'm a student, at 25, I finally decided to study Visual Media at the local college. I hate cell phones cause I love being outside, I get on social media once in a blue moon. I love my parents and three siblings. I have two nephews and three nieces. I could be a professional sleeper, and could compete in aggressive eating, but I choose fitness over sleeping and eating, toughest decision of my life for sure. I like to read non-fiction magazines or articles because I like to teach myself often about new ideas and concepts about the mind and body. I believe I'm a good person with good intentions, always looking for an opportunity to work or break a sweat. I like to listen to people, although most times I keep my opinions to myself, because my mama always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I have a few mottos, but my favorite would have to be; ALWAY SHOOT TO BE BETTER THAN WHAT, OR WHO YOU WERE YESTERDAY.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because I read The Book of Mormon. It is another Testament of Jesus Christ. I am Mormon because on July 22, 2013, two sister missionaries, that had been set-apart by a priesthood holder, contacted me on the streets of Escondido. I was debating with myself to continue in what I was doing, or choose to follow a new path. I am Mormon because I decided, after meeting these missionaries, to follow Jesus Christ's example to be baptized by someone holding the proper authority. I am Mormon because I have a testimony of The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, by the Prophet, Joseph Smith. I am Mormon because I took on the name of my Savior. I am Mormon because I believe in covenants and commandments, I'm Mormon and I don't check my religion at the door. I'm proud to be a member of The Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because Jesus saved my life.

How I live my faith

How do I enjoy my faith in Jesus Christ? That is simple I practice the basic gospel principles. Well It kind of started when I first looked into the shiny mirror when I was eight years old. It was right after I scored my first soccer goal. I told myself, "God was watching." I told myself that from that moment forward I would belong to God and praise Him. When I got older I struggled with sobriety for a long time. I thought of marriage and family. My faith in God the Father and God the Son, lead me to believe that I was meant to marry a virtuous daughter of God. My faith in that idea, seemed silly at first, but I when I thought of what God has to offer I decided the only way I could marry one would be, if I attended his church. At this point in my life I asked what church to join. It is quite intriguing how if we don't worry, and believe God has a plan for us, we can live a happy life. I have faith that I belong to God, and because I have faith that is true, I live a happy life, and hope for the best outcome when life becomes challenging. I exercise my faith by praying, repenting, reading the holy scripture, attending church, and the San Diego Temple because I have learn for myself that, my Celestial Father wants that for me.
