Hi I'm Cheyenne

I was born in Arizona, but grew up in Wisconsin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Arizona Scottsdale Mission. Before my mission, I went to college and majored in Physiology and Developmental Biology, with hopes of one day becoming a Physician's Assistant. I love playing volleyball water color painting, but my true love is hockey. The Chicago Blackhawks are my pride and joy, and nothing stops my family and I from watching every game- especially during playoff season.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been there for me in the darkest periods of my life when I felt I had nothing else to turn to. I struggle with anxiety and panic attacks, but knowing that my Savior Jesus Christ went through exactly what I went through helps to ease my burdens and make me feel not alone. I still need help from modern medicine, but my relationship with Jesus Christ is what strengthens me to get through every day. I love this gospel because it had blessed my family and I more than words can say. It has been my rock through various family struggles, and I know I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.

How I live my faith

Growing up in Wisconsin, there weren't a lot of Mormons around. In a high school of 1200 students, I was one of 5 Mormons. It was definitely hard, but every day I made the choice to live my beliefs, and I hope people noticed something different about the way I dressed, talked, and behaved. At college, I attended a congregation of young single adults, and helped organize service projects, as well as being a teacher for other women my age. Now, I'm a full-time missionary, which means that I spend all of my time as a representative of Jesus Christ and help others to strengthen their relationship with Him. It's definitely hard, and it meant sacrificing a year and a half of friends, family, and school, but I feel so blessed to help others come closer to Jesus Christ.
