Hi I'm Whitney

I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. I'm about to graduate with my bachelors in Exercise Physiology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college and am graduating in July with my bachelors in Exercise Physiology. In high school I swam on the varsity swim team for all 4 years and I absolutely loved it! I miss it every single day. I have one little sister who I adore and she is in college with me and its so fun to have her here! I got married in April 2015 I married my soulmate who grew up in the same town, high school, and ward as me. We started dating a year after he returned from his two year mission. I have 2 amazing parents who show me every day what it means to live righteously.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into this amazing gospel and have been raised by an amazing mom and dad. I love this gospel and the peace, comfort, happiness, and knowledge that it gives me. I know that our other brother Jesus Christ suffered and died for us so that we can return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven again. I know that we are led today by a true and living prophet of the Lord who receives personal inspiration for us today. I am so grateful for temples and the sealing power that they bring so that I can live with my family and be sealed to my wonderful husband for time and for all eternity. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and sealed all that he did with his life. I know that it is only through this gospel that we can find true and everlasting peace and happiness. I love this gospel and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I do my very best every day to live in a way that our Heavenly Father wants and expects me to live. In my ward I am the 1st counselor over the women in the ward. This means that once a month I get to teach our 3rd hour class. I also get to help the women with any thing that they may need. I love my calling and have come to know the sisters in my ward more because of it. Each month I also get to go and visit 2 of the women in the ward for visiting teaching and get to know them a little better.
