Hi I'm Jared

I am from San Jose, California. I lived overseas for 9 years and am an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball and video games and currently attend Utah State University. I am about to leave on my mission for the Albuquerque, New Mexico mission. I lived in China for 9 years with 4 years in Hong Kong and 5 years in Shen Zhen which was a wonderful experience. For my eagle scout project I built curtains for a orphanage in the mountains of China. And I am proud to be an American and glad to be a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church meaning I have been going my entire life. At first I would just go off of what my parents were teaching me and lived off of what they believed. As I got older however I had to build my own testimony in the gospel through reading the Book of Mormon for myself and constant prayer and communication with my father in heaven. With time and my commitment to learn I was able to do this and am proud to be a part of this church.

How I live my faith

In my church at Utah State I had two callings, the first was a teacher and the second was an activities coordinator. Both were fun and helped me to be able to bond better with the other members of my church and help me build up a stronger sense of responsibility and personal value.
