Hi I'm Elisabeth

I have a crazy sister named Donna, and were both Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mesa Arizona. I have five sisters and one brother, me being the third youngest. My third oldest sister served a mission in Chihuahua Mexico and my brother is currently serving in Canada. I graduated with my Associates Degree at age 17 and am currently studying radiology. I love to exercise; I ran a half marathon when I was 16 years old.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church every Sunday with my family. When I was little, I didn't quite understand how important this was to me, until I got older. I have now learned that there is nothing greater than the joy of living this gospel and following the teachings of Christ. Knowing that God has a plan for us and will be the same yesterday, today and forever, has increased my faith. Words can not describe the feelings I get when I keep His commandments and follow in Christs footsteps. I know without a doubt, that our Heavenly Father loves us and that He sent His only begotten son to atone for our sins so that we can return to Him. I am so grateful that we have Thomas S. Monson as our living prophet today who can speak to our Heavenly Father and guide us through our challenges/needs. I have learned the importance of reading the Book of Mormon every day to help me with life's decisions and keeping the commandments. I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church and because of the atonement, we can return to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

There is a song called "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus"; this was my favorite hymn to sing when I was younger. To this day, I still catch myself humming this song in my head every once in a while. It helps me to know that if I want to become like Jesus, I do things that Jesus would do; a simple smile to someone goes a long way, or a kind gesture (i.e. picking up something that someone dropped). To live our faith is not just going to church every Sunday, but it is showing our love and setting an example for those around us. I live my faith by helping my siblings with their homework, or complimenting a stranger that walks by. I set an example for my peers who aren't Mormon by dressing modestly, and standing up for what I believe in. I live this gospel day in and day out. This is the only true church and by reading the Book of Mormon and setting an example for others, will help us become like Jesus.
