Hi I'm Kayla Hatch

I am a recent High School graduate. A lifeguard. A daughter, granddaughter, and a sister of five siblings. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California, then moved to Ohio when I was three. We have lived in Ohio ever since and blessed to be surrounded by lots of family and friends. I have been blessed to be in a family who loves the Lord and have been active in the church all of their lives. I recently graduated from High School, and I have five younger siblings who drive me crazy, but I love dearly. In High School I was in Marching Band for four years and played the flute in concert band for eight years. I love singing and I sang in High School Choir for one year. I have grown a deep love for drama and theater these past two years, and had the privilege to be in a couple of school performances. I have worked as a lifeguard in the summer for four years, and enjoy being in a position to help others and make other people happy. I am naturally a shy person, but I love to make people laugh and smile. In comfortable settings I can be very outgoing and fun loving. I love this church and I know it is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but there is always a point in time when we choose to follow the teachings we have been raised with or not. Throughout my life and through sincere prayer and desire I have come to know that it is true. I know without a doubt in my mind that God loves us and he wants the best for us. I have seen so many blessings in my life and in my family's life that I can not deny the presence of the Lord in our everyday lives. I know that Jesus is our Savior and he suffered so that each one of us could become clean and be able to live with God again. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and I feel that assurance every time I read his account of the first vision. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and through it we can find the fullness of the Gospel and everlasting joy. I know this church is true and I love it, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the church I have had the privilege to participate in many different activities including youth activities every week and in the summer, many service oriented projects, and some leadership positions. I love singing in our congregation's choir and I know music can bring the spirit of God into our lives. I graduated from the church's seminary program and have grown a love for the scriptures through that. I teach little children occasionally at church and enjoy their sweet innocent spirits. I was recently called to serve a mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission. I am excited an eager to serve the Lord and teach the people in Las Vegas for a period of 18 months. I know it will be a wonderful experience to serve and teach and I know my testimony and knowledge will grow through this experience.
