Hi I'm Emily Purtschert

I love the outdoors and going on adventures. Jesus Christ is my best friend. I'm a Mormon, 100%.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. I love nature. Hiking is my all-time favorite pass time. I also love star-gazing, rock climbing, trail running, and adventuring. On my lazy side, I love to drive for hours on end while listening to music and talking with my pals. I finished my freshman year of college pretty recently and now I'm preparing to serve an LDS mission in Romania and Moldova!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me the greatest joy I have ever felt. When I look to the sky or up at the stars, it is so evident to me that there is a Father in Heaven that created this beautiful earth. I am a Mormon because I know that God lives, that He loves us individually, and that He wants me to come back to live with Him. Jesus Christ is my best friend and when we make an effort to find Him, He will come running to us. He is anxious to give us blessings. Because of my relationship with Jesus Christ, I have found peace in a hectic world, comfort when I was lost, and joy in even my darkest moments. He lives... and because He lives, I will fearlessly follow Him forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to become like Jesus Christ. What He has done, I try to do. The things He has said, I repeat over and over. The greatest way I find I can live my faith is by centering my life on other people, because that is just what Jesus Christ did. Service and caring for other people is my main focus in life. I pray daily to find those that need assistance. Sometimes the service is immense, but more often that not, it is the simple, daily acts of kindness that make the most impact. I strive to always live as Jesus Christ lived to show people that there is still good in the world.
