Hi I'm Keagan van der Wekken

I love acting, I enjoy public Speaking, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the world of stages. Performing talents, Telling stories, Debating, Singing, Dancing, Putting on Costumes, Changing sets, building scenes, hanging up lights. All of these thing I do because I love putting on a good show for people. I also like to win competitions. I have participated in many competitions for speech and debate I usually don't win because people are amazing but I enjoy being party of the competition and Have made it to finals many times. I have participated in the following musicals and plays: Radium Girls Witness for the Prosecution Anything Goes Seusifacation of Romeo and Juliet My favorite would be the improv performances because they let me and the Thespian Troupe win 3 different talent shows against the other factions of the school by a land slide. Besides my life onstage I am also a hard worker, having three jobs at once can be tough sometimes. All my jobs have been able to help me in my life and I am able to use my acting skills at them which helps and can be fun sometimes. During the day I am a lifeguard, While at night I would work at a Frozen custard shop in my town. While on the weekends I would help a friend by going to parties dressed as different characters and help the party move along, my personal favorite characters to play are Darth Vader, Flynn Ryder, and Jake (From Jake and the Never-land Pirates). The best part about my jobs were the people I work with and the fact that my bosses always respected my choice to not work on Sunday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith and have always been a member. I know that life without the gospel is hard. I know that living in areas were most people don't follow or live by the same standards as me is difficult. I also know that I set an example to others when I choose to do the right thing.

How I live my faith

I have lived my life to the fullest and have been able to make choices in my life to be able to serve a full time mission. I use the church and my faith in Christ everyday, before my mission and afterward. Before my mission I was able to explain the doctrines and beliefs of our religion to my friends while we ate lunch, and during my mission I use the same lessons, well kind of the same, to teach investigators about the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. I believe the Lord has had a large impact in my life and if you ever meet me in person feel free to ask. But in summary I believe that I have been blessed in my everyday life, my family has been blessed, and lastly that we are all so lucky to be alive on this earth at this time. The reason for that last part in because even though I am still young I have witnessed a large step in human existence. We are all living in the time of touch screens when only 10 years ago that was a only a dream. We also witnessed the election of the first African American and also saw him become president of the United States for not one but two terms. The last great thing we all can witness today is the number of people learning about Mormons everyday, most of which will eventually become members themselves.
