Hi I'm Josh

I live in Utah. I sing, play piano, and love serving others. I will be leaving for a mission to Sao Paulo Brazil August 30th 2016.

About Me

I live in Utah. Born and raised here, I am number 6 of 8 kids in my family. I was born 2 months premature, have a VP shunt and deal with muscle atrophy to my left side. My left leg is also shorter than my right so I get to have shoes personally crafted to my needs, which means nobody ever steals my shoes cause they look like some crazy person that doesn't know how to buy the same shoe. I love singing, playing piano, biking, and making others happy. I recently was in the musical Les Miserables and had the coolest opportunity to play the lead of the Bishop. I love sports, but my physical limitations have brought me to use my time and develop my talents in music. I love every aspect of music and an a firm believer that music is the best way to share the spirit with others. I love service and love my Heavenly Father. I'll be leaving on a mission in August to the Brazil Sao Paulo North mission to serve my fellow brothers and sisters for 2 whole years. I am grateful for the Gospel and the joy it brings me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I know this church is the one and only true church on the Earth. I am a Mormon because I can feel the spirit and know of the truthfulness of the Gospel as I keep the commandments and strive to be Christlike. Following the teachings of this church is what has brought me true peace and happiness. The happiness I feel is indescribable. I know the love my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ have for me. I have felt it and cannot deny the truth the Holy Ghost has given me over the years. I know this is the restored church of Christ on the earth today, and being apart of the LDS faith since birth has been an added blessing to my life. I love this church and it's teachings that help me improve everyday, and one day be worthy enough to return to my Father in Heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis by the service I give in my community. I've been in numerous leadership positions. I served as a secretary, first counselor, and president in my ward as I've grown up in the Priesthood. I served on a couple youth conference committees. I served at my high school as the Seminary Council President where I got to work with the most awesome people! This calling more than any other took me out of my comfort zone and gave me the most experience and knowledge. As part of this calling I was able to serve other students my age and make sure seminary was a safe place for them to go and to help them feel of their Heavenly Father's love for them. I live my faith as I recently was just ordained an Elder and received the Melchizedek priesthood. I love serving others in my home ward and outside. I one day hope to go on a humanitarian trip over seas to continue this service. I also live my faith by singing in my ward choir and also independently during Sacrament meeting in hopes that I can change someone's life through the beautiful music.
