Hi I'm Isaac McGee

I was born and raised in Utah. I love learning new things. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have a wide range of hobbies and interests; such as the art of memory, swimming, water polo, super-learning, biking, hiking, and a life of always learning or improving daily. I want to be a father. I am planning on becoming a materials engineer at the University of Utah in the future. I really enjoy anything outdoors, especially in the Wasatxh Mountains. I love repeling, and rock climbing. I love my savior with all my heart!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a few reasons. Our life long questions can be answered from following the teachings of the Church which is revealed to a Prophet from our savior Jesus Christ. This church is the only church with the proper organization as stated in the bible. The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ is true; I feel a deep peace whenever I read. Peace can be constant, you can have guideance from God daily through the Holy Ghost, the questions of the soul can be answered. We can be clean from all sin and regret, only through the Proper Priesthood Authority of God can we receive the full blessings of what Jesus Christ has done for us. This is His church on the Earth today!

How I live my faith

I have been very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. I have had many oppurtunities to live, share, and serve in the church and in the Community. In high school I was a member of the Seminary Council which assisted in helping the youth of the church in high school to come to their own understanding about what has been restored to the earth through prophets and apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. We also assisted in growing a good relationship with the school. I was also able to teach younger children in primary. Primary is where the children younger than 12 are taught the simple truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Outside of Church I am always doing something to keep my thoughts turned to the Savior Jesus Christ and what he has done for me. I study the scripture everyday to grow my faith in Jesus Christ, I strive to always follow, do, and be as He is. Currently I am a full time missionary in the Pittsburgh Pennsilavina Mission, which I have the opportunity to share the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Isaac McGee
Baptism is an essential ordinance for Salvation. We can read in Matthew chapter three where Jesus Christ himself was baptized by John. After Jesus Christ was resurrected he directed the Apostels in Matthew 28 where he commands them to teach all nations and to baptize. Baptism is done by immersion. We can read in Acts 8 where Philip baptised a certain man by first going down "into" the water. Baptism also provides us with a remission of our sins, we can be cleansed from all our sins. Baptism is the first ordinance of salvation and the first covenant that we make to God. When we make the covenant of baptism we promises to always remember Jesus Christ, and keep the commandments. Baptism helps us to grow closer to God. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Isaac McGee
The biggest things that tell me there is a God are the littlest things that help me get through each day. There are several experiences that I have had in my life that have helped me to know that God is there that he loves us personally and He wants the best for us. I have had sincere prayers answered through the scriptures, people, and direction given by revelation. There have been several times where I have gone through a tough time; in the mists of prayer in my heart I would have a scripture verse come to mind where the answer would be found. God is always willing to speak to us, but sometimes we are not humble enough to hear what He is saying. I know that there is a loving God in heaven, that He sent his only begotten son so that every one of us has the oppourtinity to return to God in heaven. I know that he loves us by giving us direction through the scriptures, and through Prophets, Seers, and Revelators. When we are willing to obey everything that God has given us, we come to better know God. He is real! Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Isaac McGee
It should never be just Faith. All Faith must be rooted in the Savior Jesus Christ. When we have faith in Jesus Christ we are willing to act upon the things that He asks of us. Such as prayer, scripture study, to have faith in him, repent, be Baptized, and to endure. When we have faith in Jesus Christ we trust that blessings will come as we apply our faith. God works amongst us according to our Faith in Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
