Hi I'm Lori

I'm a wife, a mother of 6 and grandmother of 15. I love to quilt, spin fiber and knit. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom and grandma. I have a wonderful husband, 4 daughters and 2 sons. I enjoy quilting, spinning fiber and knitting. I love history and have volunteered as a docent at local living history villages. I love to demonstrate spinning on a spinning wheel and sharing life "back in the day" of our pioneer and colonial ancestors. I tap dance and play the piano and ukelele. I was a stay at home mom, and now I am a major grandchild spoiler to my 15 grandchildren. I also know American Sign Language and worked as an interpreter in educational and employment settings for several years. I now use that skill at church to interpret for hearing impaired members.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because that is what my family has been for several generations. But I continue to be Mormon because I know and believe it is the best way for myself and my family to return again to live with our Heavenly Father, which is my ultimate goal. I believe that the doctrines taught by the LDS church help me to understand the nature of God, my purpose for being here, how I should live, how I should treat my family, friends and neighbors, and what lies in store for me after this life. I love my husband, my children, and my extended family. I am grateful for the doctrine of eternal families, and having the assurance that we can be together after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to be kind to those around me. I love to talk and get to know other people. I try to be uplifting in my conversations and interactions. I want to be an example of the Savior and how He would treat people. I want to live my life so that I can have His light in my countenance. I would like for those who meet me to want to learn more about the Savior.
