Hi I'm Shanalee

I am from American Fork. I LOVE to travel, try new things, read, and laugh. :) I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to write stories about anything and everything romantic. Romance is my weakness. I just finished my second year of college and I'm headed down to Argentina for the next 18 months. Something I personally adore is Mexico. Seriously one of the most beautiful places in my opinion. The beach is another personal favorite of mine; but Utah will always have a special place in my heart. I love life- there is so many twists and turns- and that is what makes the ride even more enjoyable. Something I can study for hours is dating. I want to be a dating coach and my goal is to have a business and write books to help others in their dating lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon simply because I know it to be true. How can you be so sure you ask? Let me share my story with you. I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Right in Mormon Central. Happy Valley Utah. Where I live it is the culture and norm that everyone is a member of the Church. Some live it more than others- but it is expected that everyone be good. And that is how I lived. I lived the best I knew how. And I loved my life. Every bit about it. God has been so good to me throughout my life. Granted I have had many hard times. The most recent occurred when I was a low point in my life. The lowest in fact. I felt as all my friends had moved on with their lives and I struggled. My best friend was gone and I did everything with her. It was hard. So I stopped. I would attend church and do the basics and put on a face. I wasn't doing the most basic things- reading my scriptures and saying my daily prayers. And my Spirit struggled. After this happening for about 6 months I got in a car accident. I changed everything. My perspective. And I realized I no longer had the spirit in my life of peace and pure joy. So I decided to pick up my scriptures and pray again. Because I understood and knew the power it had in my life in the past. I know this Church is true. Because in it I find joy. I find peace. I find love. Jesus Christ saved me. Because he LOVES me. And he LOVES you. I know my Heavenly Father loves me as well. I love being a member of this church because it is the truth! Read the Book of Mormon and pray about it! There is no greater power then knowing something with your whole heart that something is true.

How I live my faith

One of the things I do to actively participate in my faith is by visiting people in my area. I am a ward missionary and as I go out to visit; I get to befriend and meet people who are are members but not active in our faith. It is quite fun to get to know people and learn about their history. Everyone has such fascinating stories. I also used to be a youth leader in charge of the 16-17 young women. I helped plan activities and also went out and befriended the less active girls. It is quite fun to be a part of a area where people are so willing to help each other out.
