Hi I'm David Voci

Hello, my name is David Voci and I am a convert to the church from Tucson, Arizona. I was baptized at 18 years old.

About Me

I enjoy playing sports, especially Tennis and Baseball and I also like reading, playing video games, and hiking. I am currently in college and hope to attain a Business degree in the future. My friends and family are very important to me and I think about them all the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Mormon church by a friend that I made during high school. Her and her family were members of the church and when I visited their house I often sat in on family bible study and prayers that gave me a closer look into their faith. Eventually I agreed to attend church with them and have meetings with the local missionaries. Attending church allowed me to feel a sense of peace and comfort that I had never before experienced in church in my life. Missionary discussions allowed me to better understand the basic principles and practices of the Mormon church. As I met with them they asked me to start reading the Book of Mormon and praying to my Heavenly Father which I did. As I did these things I quickly noticed a consistent spirit of peace, comfort, and happiness in my life. My prayers about the truth of the Book of Mormon and the restoration where quickly answered and I was eager to be baptized and confirmed a member of the church. I am incredibly grateful for the importunity that Heavenly Father gave to me and each and every day I thank him that this church was introduced to me and that I was able to be baptized.

How I live my faith

At church I have participated in several different organizations such as the Family Home Evening Committee, which involves planning fun events for the ward, and the Missionary Council, where we teach members about how to be better missionaries and coordinate events and meetings with the local Missionaries. Also, I often help pass the sacrament during church and visit members of the ward each month to make sure that they are doing well and address any needs or problems they may be experiencing.
