Hi I'm Gary G.

My ancestors were faithful members in the Church in Missouri, Nauvoo and Utah and I am proud of my heritage.

About Me

I consider myself an artist, thinker, philosopher, historian. My good friends are of all types including many religions, agnostic, atheist, minority races, gay, transgender and even annoying egotist. I find surrounding myself with all types gives me a view that most are unaware. I like all foods, this also gives me a view that most are unaware.

Why I am a Mormon

It really all comes down to a choice and being a Mormon was the best choice I ever made. I wanted it to be true, I hoped it was true. I studied other religions and they only promised salvation and the philosophies of agnostics and atheists only promised and extra day to play on the weekend. But after living the Lds life and learning the gospel as revealed by ancient and modern prophets, that extra day on the weekend sounded pretty good as one to serve my Father in Heaven. After baptism I was given the gift of the Holy Ghost like the ancient apostles. The spirit then taught me, testified to me, comforted me and gave me peace in times of stress and trouble. I gained an understanding of my Father in Heaven felt his Love and approval of my choice. His Love brings me more joy in this life and the Church gives me the best way to share this love with others. It is still a choice but it's a "no brainer", choose Exaltation or Not? I choose possibility of Exaltation. What would you choose? Duh!

How I live my faith

I like to spice things up, challenging common views. Not that I disagree with the comments in class but sometimes everyone in the room has the same opinion and another opinion is needed to have a meaningful discussion on the topic. I come to the rescue with viewpoints that challenge.
