Hi I'm Camilla Christensen

I from Highland, Utah. I play the piano, work full time, and I love this gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of five; two older brothers and two younger sisters. I graduated from American Fork High School about a year ago and I have been working at a dental office near my home since then. I absolutely love my job, I have learned so much. Outside of work; I play the piano, and have been playing for 11 years. I love shopping, but I also love to travel and go outside; backpacking, camping, and hiking. I am preparing to serve a full time Mission. I am blessed to be where I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the gospel, for a long time it was just a routine thing for me, to go to church. I wasn't quite sure why I was going, except to please others around me; family and friends. I remember a time in my life where I was so confident in what I was taught, I had a very strong testimony and I didn't have any doubts - after I transferred to a new school and I was surrounded by different things, that seemed to change. I didn't hold on to my beliefs. Slowly I returned to my simple routine; went to church and that was about it. I honestly wanted to let go, because I didn't think it was doing any good. I didn't know how to find my testimony and help it grow, and I didn't surround myself with things that necessarily lifted me up. It wasn't until about a year and a half ago, when things started to change. And the only reason that they changed, is because I HAD that desire. Heavenly Father gave us all agency and I know that He was not going to make me come back if I didn't want to. But I am glad that I did. One thing that has helped me grow my testimony is finding ways to notice the Lord's hand in my life. Even by simple things, like a friend sending me a text or calling me when I had a bad day. God has blessed us with so much. Through our thoughts and feelings, and others we are surrounded by, we can feel His influence, and His guidance in our lives.

How I live my faith

Every day, I do the typical, primary answer activities that our church teaches. I read my scriptures and I pray. Every week, I go to church and participate in our gospel services, and renew the covenants that I made with our Heavenly Father. On top of that, I do my best to keep the commandments and find ways to keep the spirit with me.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Camilla Christensen
To have the knowledge of our Heavenly Father and His love for you starts with a desire. Pray earnestly, with your whole heart and God will help you. Remember to be patient because we all receive answers differently, and according to His will. But I know that He will help you and guide you and bless you with the knowledge that you need. Don't be afraid to pray with specific questions. When we are specific, God can help us more; according to our needs. After prayer, seek for an answer through scripture study and through our church leaders. Remember that God loves you, he will NOT forget you (1 Nephi 21:15-16) Show more Show less
