Hi I'm August

I love living in St. George! I play pickleball, live for the outdoors , and spend time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an adventurous person that loves to be outside! Some of my favorite activities are pickleball, hiking, or being with my friends. I also enjoy watching movies with friends and family! I'm a member of the Washington County Youth Coalition that advocates for a better, healthier, and safer community. I've been able to attend Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis, Indiana because of the Coalition. I've enjoyed every second of being a part of this Coalition and the change we've been able to create from a local level to the national level. This group and others have been able to transform my life in helping me become the person I want to be. I love public speaking and being a leader. With these qualities I have the interest in pursuing an education in business. Currently though, I have recieved my mission call and have been assigned to labor in the Spain Barcelona Mission, entering July 12th!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. As I've grown up I've relied on my parent's testimony, but as I became a teenager and grew older I began to realize the importance of receiving a testimony for myself. I've had many trials in my life, but as I've put my faith in Christ I've been able to overcome these trials. It's because of these experiences that I know Christ lives! He suffered for not only my sins, but everyone's. By putting your faith in Christ you'll be able to accomplish what he has in store for you. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet who restored the true church upon the earth once more. I'm grateful to be a part of this church. I know that Joseph Smith was also able to translate The Book of Mormon for us. I know this book is true and continue to learn from it daily. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have a family that loves me. I know that I will be able to live with them for eternity. I'm grateful for our prophet and the Quorum of the 12 Apostles. I know that they have been ordained of God to serve us at this time. I know this church is true. It is witnessed to me everyday by the Holy Ghost. I'm grateful that I can have the Holy Ghost to be a part of my life. I want others to know that this church is true. Have faith in Christ and he will help you!

How I live my faith

I live my faith first by example. I know that I can make a difference in someone's life just because of my example. I do what I'm taught because I've come to know that it is true. I also serve as the secretary for the Priest Quorum in my ward. There I'm able to help the young men in our quorum to know more about Christ and his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This opportunity has strengthened my faith in Christ. I'm able to rely on him and know his teachings.
