Hi I'm Jasmine

I am serving a Mission. I went to BYU-Idaho. I love dancing, flying, and playing the violin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Have you ever watched a child full of energy in the grocery store, and no matter how hard the parents try the child cannot settle down? Well that child describes me perfectly. I am the kind of girl who will sit down, figure out the next 10 years of her life, and then get up and start working towards those goals. I guess you could say I am a dreamer. I just returned home from BYU-Idaho and am now preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am excited to serve the people of North Carolina and to spend the next 18 months fully dedicated to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

This answer is a little difficult to explain, because there is not a cool conversion story to go along with it, then again, I do not think I need one to explain my decision to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always been a member of the Church, I can't imagine my life without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The reason I continue to be a member is because I know this Church is true. It is not a belief that I can scientifically prove, but it is the feeling that I receive every time I go to church, read the Book of Mormon, and perform missionary work. It is the glimpse of light that I receive in the darkest moments.

How I live my faith

It is the simple every day tasks that reflects my faith. I have never had a tremendous spiritual moment, but I have had little every day moments that have strengthened my faith and made me the person I am today. Some of these moments are spending time with my family, fulfilling my callings as a teacher or scout leader, preparing for my Mission, and hanging out with friends who have the same values as I. These little memories are the foundation to my faith. They are the special moments that allow me to live to my fullest potential.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jasmine
Our more formal name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because that is exactly who we believe in. Yes, Latter Day Saints do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that he loves us and He desires us to follow Him. He Atoned for our sins, so that we, through Him, can make it back to our Heavenly home. We must "submit ourselves unto God (James 4: 7)" and follow the plan that he has in stored for us. Show more Show less
