Hi I'm Caleb

I'm from Orem, Utah. I love spending time outdoors, especially on my mountain bike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love mountain biking, and participate in a local mountain biking race series in Utah. I enjoy spending time in the mountains just a few miles from my house, and take every chance I get to be outside. I also love reading and writing, and hope to be able to publish a novel someday. I love to hang out with my family and my friends--albeit not at the same time. I have been self-employed since I was 14, doing landscaping and lawn care. I just graduated from high school, and look forward to attending college at BYU after a two year LDS mission. I hope to get a degree in Chemical Engineering and eventually work in the medical field as a researcher or biomedical engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know if this church is true, and received an answer from God through the Holy Ghost that told me that this church is true, that this church is indeed Christ's church. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, prayed to know if it is true, and received an answer that it, too, is true. I am a Mormon because this church offers answers to where we came from, who we are, and where we are going that are simple, powerful, and comforting. I am a Mormon because this gospel gives me hope that my relationships with my family can continue after we die.

How I live my faith

I have been a leader for my age group on and off for the past six years. As such, I helped coordinate and carry out activities for my age group since I was 12. This past year, I was a youth counselor for an activity group for developmentally delayed people in my area. I was partnered with a man with severe developmental disabilities, and worked to make sure that he was clean, comfortable, safe, and having fun. In two weeks, I am going to go serve a two year mission for the LDS Church in Kansas. During this time, I will give up everything--from mountain biking to going to college (temporarily)--to serve God.
