Hi I'm Sydney

I grew up in California. I am a university student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying Dietetics. I am the oldest of five children, with amazing parents and a loving family. I love being outdoors, and my favorite hobbies include hiking, camping, and running. I play the piano as well. I love learning, and I'm an avid reader. I am currently preparing to serve a mission for the Mormon church in Ecuador.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents have always been Mormon, so I have been apart of this church throughout my entire life. I have seen so many blessings in my life that have come from following Christ's gospel. I have never seriously doubted that this church is true, because it has always brought me happiness, comfort, and peace. Understanding that I am God's child, and that He loves me, has given me the strength I need to handle difficult situations in my life, such as the death and illness of family members and friends. I know that this church is Christ's church, restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this with all of my heart, because it has been proven to me time and time again by my experiences and the Holy Ghost. I know that Christ is my Savior, and that He suffered so that we can repent of our sins and return to our Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful that because of Heavenly Father's plan, I will be with my family forever. That is the greatest blessing I could ever receive.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example and live my faith by being involved in community service projects around my school or hometown. I have also raised money for schools in India that teach important skills to young women and mothers. I serve in my ward by being a teacher to the nursery children, who are usually two or three years old. I love their sweet spirits and excitement.
