Hi I'm Cedrik

I'll be serving a mission in France (Mandarin speaking). I love Rugby. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I was born in the church. My love for music is immeasurable. If someone liked good music I know we would get along. Indie Alternative is my favourite kind and i can't stand country. Ever since I was young my dad would play Weezer, Coldplay, and Smashing Pumpkins which is the reason I think I have my taste in music. Although I love this music and listen to it constantly there is a contrast to church hymns and inspirational music. I love both for different reasons and that is alright. I have a younger brother and sister. As a family we love to play boardgames and play all sorts of sports. Personally I have grown very fond of rugby. However my dad and I challenge each other to a game of ping pong on a regularly basis. Players on my team refer to me as the mormon hooker (hooker is a position in rugby) and everyone at my school know's I'm a member. It was amazing how much support I received from everyone when I got my call to the Paris France mission(2016-2018). I was 2000$ short but thanks to the amazing support I was given I won a contest on Spotify which allowed me to pay for my entire mission. My love for music got me on a mission. I can't wait to serve the Lord. Jaust because I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints it doesn't mean I haven't experienced trials and challenges in my life. However because I am a member I know where to go when times get tough.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in the church allowed me to develop my testimony slow and steadily. The programs they have in place for the children and youth never pressured me but instead taught me how to make good decisions on my own. I know that this is the true church on the earth now and that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for our day. I know that as we strive to keep the commandments and do our best we draw closer to the spirit and receive peace and love. The gospel has blessed my life in so many ways and I hope that as I serve I will bring other unto Christ. Because He lives and loves all of his children equally even if at times they turn their backs from him. No wrong cannot be undone by the atonement of Christ and our burdens can be lightened through repentance. I have experienced it and I will never be able to deny it.

How I live my faith

Growing up my father taught me to be a faithful home teacher and to ensure that when we visited they felt love. Occasionally our visits were merely service projects but we always managed to fit it into our busy schedule. I live my faith by loving others and abiding by it's principals. Recently I have been called as a missionary and soon I will have the amazing opportunity of turning my life over to the Lord and relying on him everyday for the strength I'll need.
