Hi I'm Patricia
I grew up in Utah. I raised 5 children. I’m a Mormon!
About Me
I have been a member of the church all my life. While my children were in school, I worked as a daycare provider at home. Before and after my kids were at home, I worked as an elementary teacher and site specialist. I retired two years ago from my last employment in education. I love to read youth mystery books. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love Christmas music and movies. I love music and have enjoyed playing the piano and organ for 50 years. I enjoy listening to many kinds of music. My favorite thing to do is visit our children and play with the grandchildren. I lost one grandson right after he was born and that was a very emotional time for me but I learned a lot about Heavenly Father’s love during that time.
Why I am a Mormon
My parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught me as a child to love the teachings. Even though they taught me and I was baptized at age 8, I still had to experience my own conversion. My conversion came through praying, by studying the Book of Mormon, and by attending church. I do know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers and loves me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that this church is God’s correct church on the earth. I know we have a living prophet who guides this church as directed by God. I know all of these things because I prayed about it and the Spirit touched my heart that I might know.
How I live my faith
There are many ways during my life that I have loved to serve to show my love of my Heavenly Father and express my faith in Jesus Christ. As a youth, I played the piano and organ for church meetings. As an adult, I served 22 years in many capacities in the BSA, taught children and adults, played the organ, and loved visiting women who were ill or needed a friend to talk to. In my senior years, I have enjoyed organizing the cleaning groups who serve to keep our church building clean.
