Hi I'm Benjamin

I'm a Mormon and I absolutely love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the happiness that it brings into my life and my family.

About Me

I have my mission call to Uruguay and I love that I will have that opportunity to serve the Lord full time. I have just graduated from high school in 2016. I love to wakeboard and weightlift with my dad and friends. I love playing ping pong as well as the piano the guitar and the ukulele. After my mission I plan to go to college to either become a pharmacist or a dentist, I don't know which path I want to pursue yet. I studied Spanish all throughout high school and I would consider myself a Spanish speaker by now. That is just one thing that will add to the amazingness of my mission, I will get to speak Spanish. I love the outdoors and swimming in lakes, not oceans, I'm afraid of the ocean! I like to sing and pretend that I'm good, but in reality I'm not. I ran track and I ran the hurdles. My favorite race was the 300 meter hurdle race even though it is crazy exhausting! I love my family so much and I am grateful for the wonderful angels that they are in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know of its truthfulness. I grew up in the church but I know for myself that living His gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ, brings true happiness. I have experimented with the teachings all throughout my life and I have found that I feel the most peace when I live in alliance with the teachings of the gospel. I used to think that commandments were so restrictive and that I couldn't do anything. I thought that I couldn't truly live a full life with so many restrictions. But as I have come to realize the joy that living the gospel brings, I want more than anything to just keep living like that so that I can co time to enjoy the peace that it brings me. Rather than restrictions, the commandments are instructions on how to be truly happy and how to truly live a full life!

How I live my faith

In the church there is something called seminary which I can take as a class during high school. It is very much like a Sunday school class. I had the opportunity to be on the council for our seminary which was awesome because I could help organize activities and have special chances to serve my friends at school. I also hold a leadership position for the young men close to my age at church. I get to work with wonderful leaders and my awesome bishop to figure out how to best meet the needs of the young men.
