Hi I'm Taylor Holbrook

I am from Provo, Utah. I will be serving an LDS mission in Finland coming this July. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Northern California but my freshman year of high school, my family moved to Provo, Utah. Needless to say, I was not very pleased about the move, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I went to Utah State University my freshman year of college, but have since transferred to BYU-Provo and have just finished my sophomore year there. I love spending time with my family and friends! I really am up to do just about anything! Swimming, watching movies, listening to music, hiking, card games, just relaxing...you name it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is apart of what makes me, me. I can't imagine my life without this gospel. I would like to bear my testimony that I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true, restored church on this earth today. I know that Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon through his faith and with the help of the Lord. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that if you truly read it and want to know if it is true, that you can know for yourself. Read it and pray. Prayer is so real. Heavenly Father always hears you. ALWAYS. Even though, at times, you might feel alone, you are never alone. He sent his only begotten son, to suffer and die for us. I know that through Christ's Atonement that we can be forgiven for all of our sins and that we can be with our families for eternity. The aspect of eternal families is one of my favorite things about this church. I love my family so so so much and I can't even remotely begin to imagine a life without them in it. Being able to be with them forever is so special to me and I know that it is possible through Him. I love Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I love this gospel. That is why I am a Mormon. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the LDS church my entire life and I have loved every second of it. During high school, I was in different class presidencies with the girls my age. Once I moved out and was in college, I have been Family Home Evening coordinator (twice) and on the Break the Fast Committee. I love having these kinds of callings because it is good to know that I am helping my ward out, and helping my Heavenly Father out as well. Prayer. PRAYER IS SO REAL. I love how I can communicate with my Heavenly Father literally whenever and wherever I am. I can't even count how many times in a day that I pray to Him. I love reading the scriptures. They bring so much peace and guidance to my daily life. It's remembering to do these little things each day that really make a difference in my life. Remembering to: pray, read the scriptures, listen to a conference talk, look for ways to help others, etc. it really makes my days better and happier.
