Hi I'm Matt stafford

I grew up in Nor Carolina, attended one year at BYUI and about to leave to serve a full-time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing basketball. I just finished my first year at BYUI studying business management. I am an Eagle Scout

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born into this church. Going to church and doing things in relation to church have never been a question to me (if i should go and participate or not). I choose to follow this Gospel because I know for myself it is true. Not by "ah-hah" moments, but by the slow and steady answers I get as well as feelings from the Holy Ghost. I would describe it like the rising of the sun in morning. My testimony is strong. I have had many experiences that may seem average to you, but you think about them, they are magnificent to me. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. That Joesph Smith was a prophet ans was able to restore the church in thr latter days. I know that family plays a big part in this church and finally that the Plan of Salvation is real. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am able to participate in my community out at college through the intramural program. Last semester I was able to log about 50 hours of service. I also was able to be a home teacher and Ward Indexer. For those of you who dont know, a home tescher visits a family or group at least once a month ans shares a spiritual message with them. A ward indexer is able to do work on various computer programs in order to help with saving ordinances. Like I said above, I enjoy playing basketball and plan for thr youth at my church to play twice a week in order to have fun and get some energy out.
