Hi I'm Morgan Hutchinson

I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I love adventures and seeing the beautiful world Heavenly Father has created. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading and you can often find me with my nose in a book. If it is not in a book then I am mostly likely climbing a tree or exploring somewhere. I love traveling and just enjoying the simple pleasures of nature. I also enjoy the more challenging side of nature in relation to hard hikes and rock climbing. I have a relatively large family that is composed of step parents, step siblings and a variety of other amazing family members. I love them dearly and we are very close. I was studying psychology in Hawaii and fell in love with that island. Deciding to move so far away from my family was the hardest decision I ever had to make, but it ended up being the best decision I ever made as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up with it. All of my immediate family were members as well and my parents were very faithful and active. However, when I was in middle school my parents got a divorce. Due to that and many other personal hardships, they eventually stopped going to church. I was about fifteen at the time and had to decide what I wanted to do. I had always loved the church and its teachings and I knew they were true. I knew it was where I needed to be and that this was the way I wanted to live my life. So I would go to church by myself and would often sit by myself. Sometimes I felt awkward but I wanted to be there. I know this church is true with all my heart. It helps me to continually strive to be a better person and be more like Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had a variety of different positions within the church. At one point I was a family history teacher. I first started doing family history with my grandmother when I was a kid. I thought it was so amazing to be able to find my ancestors and learn about them. It helps me understand who I am and their life stories often inspire me. Having to teach was a great learning opportunity because it challenged me to learn enough to be able to help others and answer their questions. I also took a break from school in order to prepare to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This gospel has brought me such great joy and blessings that I want others to have the same opportunity.
