Hi I'm Ian MacGregor

I was born in raised in Oregon. I play sports and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 18 year old who is preparing to serve in the Peru Lima South Mission. I will be enrolled in BYU Provo in the fall of 2018. I play tennis, enjoy music, and my current favorite book in the Book or Mormon is the book of Alma.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I know that God lives again, I know that He loves everyone and that through the Atonement, we do not have to live forever in our sins. I encourage all who are curious to read and ponder Moroni 10:4-5, because I know it has done wonders for me. My personal favorite scriptures are Helaman 5:12 and Jacob 6:12

How I live my faith

I live my faith through reading the scriptures every morning, and trying to be an example for my younger brothers. I think often of Christ's return and review my patriarchal blessing often. I love my God and am so thankful for the Atonement.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Ian MacGregor
Temples are places on the Earth where we can be closest to God. It is a sacred place, where we continue to make covenants with our Father in Heaven. We also perform saving ordinances for the dead. For example, if someone died and did not have the opportunity to be baptized, we may act as proxy and be baptized in their name, so that they may accept the gospel from the spirit world.
