Hi I'm Leise

I'm from AUSTRALIA, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints , I know it, I live it, and i love it.

About Me

I am someone who is not perfect but try to be each and every day. I am a family girl, so i don't really go out much, only when i need to. I have a career in childhood education and am currently putting my studies on hold so that i can serve my mission. I love singing, i can play and read piano music, i love sports especially volley and basketball ( I'm not the best) lol. I have had many ups and downs in my life and at age 16 my father had past away (this was my last year in school) i found it very hard to cope with... i love meeting new people and sharing experiences with them when i feel prompted to. I have learnt how to cook from my mum and love eating while i cook too, its the only way i can be confident in what i serve up on the dinner table. i love to read and learn new things. I love seeing the temple at night time it brings me to peace when i have a bad day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church but this does not explain why i am a Mormon, as i grew up in the church i have always had faith because i seen it in my home my mum and dad would always be consistent in reminding us about family home evenings and just casual family counselling, the reason why i i am a Mormon today is because i learnt at a young age who i am and what my purpose is on this earth. many times has my faith in Jesus Christ been tested and many times his spirit never fails to comfort me in times of need. I've read and prayed about the book of Mormon and know that it is true... my conversion to the gospel is consistently happening because each time i am taught i always learn something new. my testimony is short but this is what i know and believe to be true, i know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Redeemer and that he still lives, i know that my heavenly father lives and that he loves me and everyone on this earth dearly, for it was he who gave his only begotten son so that we are all able to return to him again, im grateful for the prophet joseph smith that through him we are able to have this gospel in our lives,i know that the book of mormon is the book of truth that it was written just for me and you in these latter days. i know that families are forever if we continue to obey the lords commandment and hold strong onto the iron rod. i love this gospel and i love my leaders for they are the ones who counsel with me and help me become the woman i am today...

How I live my faith

I was previously called as a female young single Adult leader and part of my calling was to go out on visits to visit my YSA with my male rep. This was so that we were able to build relationships within our ward and also ensure that everybody was doing okay physically, spiritually, and emotionally, this also helped the young adults open up to the things that they felt were needed. My rep and i would get together casually and plan activities for the ysa and also mainly focused on what our needs were individually and as a group. some of our activities we would do weekly was every Saturday night we would get together at the chapel and have scripture study ( reading our Sunday school lesson together) so that we can participate in our Sunday school lesson on Sunday. every second or third Thursday we would do rescue the one, visiting our less actives and seeing if they need any assistance with anything at home and invite them to a planned activity that weekend. unity is very important and come a long way, i love my faith because i know that if i want to know if something was true i needed to go and search for it myself, and that is what helps my foundation to be stable.
