Hi I'm Jacob

I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. I love skiing. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 6'6. I am an avid beach goer and love to do pretty much every ocean activity. However, I love to go skiing. My family has always gone at least once a year since I was three and I hope to one day make a career of it. On top of skiing, I have many other passions I hope to build upon. I really enjoy playing guitar, as well as singing. I hope to one day take my various musical talents and start a band with my brother. We are twins. We are both currently serving religious missions; He is in Indianapolis, Indiana, and I am in the Washington D.C North Mission. I plan on going to college when I return from my time serving.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith had a vision, and because of that vision we now have a knowledge of God and His plan for us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, because I have read it, and re-read it, and read it again, praying to my Heavenly Father, begging to know of it's truthfulness. I have received that confirmation, and I hope to help others reach the same one I have.

How I live my faith

I have always loved to help out in my community. I had the great honor of receiving the Eagle Scout award through my own personal efforts and the help of countless others. Something the LDS church really focuses on and encourages is giving service. As a member, I have received many opportunities to serve and show my love for others. I was able to teach a Sunday School class, where we would go over various principles taught in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also had the opportunity to act as an Assistant Scoutmaster before embarking on a two year mission. Serving a mission has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I feel so blessed to be able to share with others a message of Christ's love for all of us. I am grateful to know that today Christ's church is once again here on the Earth in it's fullness.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Some of the things that prove to me of God's existence is the unfathomable complexities of the things around me. Everything from celestial systems down to something as infinitesimally small as sub atomic particles work in such a way that I can not see it being possible without divine assistance and knowledge to keep things going. I do not know by what process He created the Earth and the life on it, but I know that He did. Show more Show less
