Hi I'm Aubrey-Michigan

I am from Riverside, California. I aspire to be a sports broadcaster. I am a future Sister Missionary of New Hampshire.

About Me

I am a major lover of all sports but have competed in volleyball, rock climbing, and golf myself. Because I love sports and I also love writing I am beginning my career path into sports broadcasting. I began my college education at Utah Valley University in journalism, but will likely transfer to continue my education in broadcasting journalism specifically. I am the second child of three with an older sister and younger brother. I was raised in the church and have been a member since I remember. My mom was inactive for most of her life, but returned to the church in her late twenties. My dad was not baptized into the church until his late twenties. On July 13 I will be beginning my mission in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church it is difficult to put a pin on the moment I knew the gospel was true, it has simply gradually happened over time. I do know that prayer is where I have best understood just how true the church is. Prayer is a vital part to understanding the truths of life and I know that if there be any question about the church, your life, and any little thing then Christ can and will answer you through deep and sincere prayers.

How I live my faith

The best way for me to share the gospel is being a friend. One of my favorite things that Christ did while on the earth was show love unto everyone. No matter who you are and where you come from you deserve love and a friend, I attempt to be that for those I know. If I could do one thing for everyone I come in contact with, it would be to show them the love the God has for them.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

When there are moments where God speaks to a person in the scriptures replace your name with theirs. Then ask yourself how the words apply to you. As a reader I like to imagine the words in my life. Imagining how the words can apply to your life then you will better understand your place and purpose. As I read the scriptures my mind is opened to the possibilities that Heavenly Father has for me.
